Change for the better

Many relationships fail because one party tries to overpower another,or demands too much. People in love tend to think that love will conquer all and their spouses will change the bad habits after marriage. Actually, this is not the case. There is a Chinese saying which carries the meaning that "It is easier to reshape a mountain or a river than a person's character."

It is not easy to change. Thus, having high expectation on changing the spouse character will cause disappointment and unpleasantness. It would be less painful to change ourselves and lower our expectations..

Let's say that it's not easy to change bad habits after marriage. But it can be done with patience and support from one another. No nagging, no demanding, no rushing..The person can change if he is willing to do it. My husband smokes long before I met him, he tries to stop but he can't. So, I just let him, if he dies young, then I will be a widow, hehehe.. But, I will not ask him to stop just cause..His habit of leaving all his dirty laundry where he undressed, hahaha, that will never change, and I accept that alredy, lids being left on the sink..small things that I can tolerate. That's love. Accept and love them for who they are. Love for no reason at all...
